The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) is firmly committed to raising awareness of the benefits of nanotechnology through a wide array of innovative programs, events and activities that have a significant impact on schoolchildren, the surrounding community, the State of New York and beyond.
From students and parents to leaders in technology, education, business and government, well over 20,000 individuals were involved in CNSE's outreach programming in 2007 - including more than 5,000 K-12 students, either through on-site visits or off-site presentations - a number that is sure to rise in 2008.
Educational Outreach
CNSE is a vital resource for educating young people about the numerous opportunities driven by nanotechnology, conducting multi-level programs that encourage science awareness in grades K-12 to ensure the U.S. science and technology workforce of the future.
Community Outreach
CNSE presents numerous special events, lectures and tours, and engages in multiple partnerships designed to cultivate meaningful connections with members of the community, region and state that encourage nanotechnology awareness and develop an understanding of the educational and economic impact being driven by the NanoCollege.
