The New York Academy of Sciences, along with New Energy New York and the Environmental Technology Applications Center (E2TAC) at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE), will host the Fifth Annual New Energy Symposium on August 9-10, 2010. Last year's event attracted over 300 prominent players in the energy field from the academia, government, and industry sectors. The event was held at the prestigious New York Academy of Sciences in New York, NY.
This year's event will again be held at the New York Academy of Science's premier building at the World Trade Center in New York City, NY. New York Academy of Sciences members and New Energy New York members will receive discounted admission.
New York New Energy will introduce the CleanTech Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the New Energy Symposium. Do you know someone who has made outstanding strides and technology advancements in the field of renewable energy? The 2010 New Energy Symposium will again feature the Clean Energy Investment Presentations (CEI), where competitively selected entrepreneurs will pitch their business plan to a panel of investors and financial industry experts.
The top three companies will be presented awards at the close of the Symposium. In addition, each company will receive a cash prize to attend the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's Industry Growth Forum in October 2010. The companies' application fee to apply to the Industry Growth Forum will be waived.
If you wish to participate in the 2010 New Energy Symposium's Clean Energy Investment Presentations, you will need to submit an application, by June 15, 2010. The application form is available for download in the registration box above. The expert panelists will review the applications and determine who will continue to the finals. Finalists will be notified by July 16, 2010. If your organization is selected to continue, a complete powerpoint presentation is due by July 30, 2010.
