Maureen M. Rutecki, CPA/ABV/CFF, ASA is a Senior Manager in EFP Rotenberg’s Business Valuation, Forensic and Litigation Services Group. She has been with EFP Rotenberg since 1998 and has experience valuing closely held business interests in a broad range of industries. Her experience includes valuing businesses for gift/estate tax purposes, shareholder buyouts, purchase/sale transactions, dissenting shareholder suits and other litigation matters.
Maureen’s business and finance background includes working as a Credit Analyst at Sumitomo Bank Limited’s New York City Branch, where she worked in the Northeastern Lending Group, analyzing Fortune 500 companies, and was a member of the Bank’s syndicated loan committee. She also worked in Fleet Bank’s commercial loan workout and asset-based lending groups, and was an Assistant Vice President and Supervisor of the Bank’s Western New York Field Examination Group. Maureen’s banking experience helped her to develop strong financial analysis skills, as well as skills in valuing the underlying assets of closely-held businesses.
In 1994, Maureen joined a large local CPA firm in Buffalo, New York, where she performed auditing, accounting and tax services for closely-held businesses and individuals. Together, Maureen’s banking and accounting experience gives her a well- rounded perspective on the issues which most affect closely- held businesses.
