Electrical Engineering - 3G System of the Future

Sarah Nelson joined Consolidated Edison Company of New York (Con Edison) in 2004 as part of a rotational management development program.  Ms. Nelson completed the program in 2006 and joined the 3G System of the Future project team where she manages asset sharing demonstration projects and coordinates Con Edison’s International Engineering Exchange Program.

Before joining the 3G System of the Future project, Ms. Nelson worked at Con Edison’s 74th Street Steam Generating Complex in Manhattan where she ran the chemical cleaning of a 14,000 gal high pressure steam send-out boiler.  While working with Con Edison’s Manhattan Gas Operations she was the project manager for the rebuilding of the natural gas expansion join vaults above Grand Central Station.

Ms. Nelson graduated from Lehigh University in 2004 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Biotechnology.  She is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, and an Executive Board member of Con Edison’s Engineering Society.
