Vice President / President
Atlantis Energy Systems Inc. / NY Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA)
For over 25 years, Tom has worked to advance energy sustainability at home and around the globe. As a member of the NY PSC staff, he created the largest utility funded weatherization program in the country. When the move to deregulate the electric industry began, Tom helped to create America's first urban electricity cooperative in NYC. Working with the son of baseball great Jackie Robinson, he delivered a solar powered water purification system to a Tanzanian village. As Executive Director of the Northeast Sustainability Association, Tom developed the nations' only renewably powered, public park. More recently, Tom developed the first fuel cell system and the largest solar electric system on NYC housing cooperatives.
In his current position, Tom is a VP for Atlantis Energy Systems in Poughkeepsie. Atlantis, maker of SUNSLATESTM and custom solar glazing systems, is the only US-based BIPV manufacturer.
