Allen Goodman is President of ECG Consulting Group Inc., a "boutique" management consulting firm focused on providing its U.S. and international clients with strategic market planning, technology commercialization and business strategy & development services to help accelerate the growth and development of their businesses.
Mr. Goodman's clients range from Fortune 100 clients to major utilities to emerging technology growth companies in the energy, environmental, advanced materials, life sciences, and information technology industries. In the energy industry, he has worked with clients in a wide variety of business sectors including power systems and services, transmission & distribution, energy storage, distributed generation, monitoring & diagnostics systems, advanced technology components, advanced materials, engineering services, environmental systems, communications and information technology products and services.
Prior to joining ECG, Mr. Goodman held management positions at Simon & Schuster and Booz Allen & Hamilton. At Simon & Schuster, a $2 billion information technology and publishing firm, he was Vice President - Planning responsible for leading the integration and restructuring of the firm's operations infrastructure following more than 50 acquisitions. At Booz Allen & Hamilton, Mr. Goodman managed consulting engagements globally for leading U.S., Canadian, Japanese, U.K. and French firms in the energy, information technology and telecommunications industries specializing in strategic market planning, acquisition planning and operations restructuring.
Mr. Goodman has an A.B. degree, with honors, from Harvard University and an M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Goodman currently serves on the Harvard Alumni Board of Directors, Co-Chaired the 2006 & 2007 Alumni Leadership Conferences and is a Board Member and past President of the Harvard University Club of Eastern New York. He is a member of the Center for Economic Growth's Technology Council and is also active in other community organizations.
