Tim Richter received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.  While completing his Masters degree, Mr. Richter designed control systems for automated machinery ranging from small chemical delivery system to large tonnage injection molding equipment.  After receiving his Masters degree, Mr. Richter joined the GE Global Research Center as a System Engineer in June 2000 and developed system simulations for circuit interruption equipment.  Mr. Richter has since worked with various technologies including electromagnetic rail guns and home laundry appliances.  Currently, he is a lead member of the hybrid vehicle team supporting simulation and development of hybrid off-highway vehicles, locomotives and buses.
