Philip Gitler has been a leader and innovator in asset-based finance and capital markets for over 16 years. After working as an investment banker and capital markets specialist at Goldman Sachs, Phil formed PMG Advisors LLC in early 2012 where he serves as the Managing Principal. With extensive experience financing a variety of asset classes, Phil recognized the need companies have today to finance clean technology as an emerging asset class. PMG Advisors provides strategic consulting, investment banking and deal sourcing services to companies and funds in the clean-technology, financial services and specialty finance sectors. PMG Advisors specializes in assisting emerging growth companies develop financing strategies and enhance connectivity to the capital markets. Prior to forming PMG Advisors, Phil’s most recent role was head of a structured finance origination team at Goldman Sachs where he worked from 2005-2011. While at Goldman Sachs, Phil brought a number of innovative financing transactions to market and distributed them to a variety of capital markets investors. These transactions included companies in the automotive, transportation and equipment finance sectors, among others. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Phil started his career at Merrill Lynch where he held several positions within project finance, equity research and asset-backed finance and principal investing groups. Phil has an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University.
