CNSE is celebrating its second annual "NANOvember," a month-long series of events and activities that showcase the exciting world of nanotechnology and the global leadership of CNSE in the most important science of the 21^st century. October 30 Biotech Performance Festival Panel: Friday, Oct. 30, 6:00 p.m., Performance 8:00 - 9:30 p.m. Additional performances scheduled for: Saturday, Oct. 31, 8:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 4-6, 8:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, 2:00 p.m. University at Albany Performing Arts Center	CNSE partners with UAlbany's Department of Theatre to transform the theatrical stage into a laboratory and the role of a playwright into that of a researcher in this command performance showcasing the unique intersection of the worlds of art and science - including the impact of ever-evolving technologies on the emerging definition of humanity. * There is a cost to attend this event, please click here for more information. November 1 Dr. Vincent LaBella speaks at the Albany Institute of History and Art Sunday, Nov. 1, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Albany Institute of History and Art	CNSE Associate Professor of Nanoscience Dr. Vincent LaBella presented "Nanotechnology: Driving Innovation and Education in the 21^st Century" at the Albany Institute of History and Art.
November 2 CNSE Community Lecture Series presents Dr. Sara Brenner Monday, Nov. 2, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	Dr. Sara Brenner, CNSE's Assistant Vice President for NanoHealth Initiatives and first physician to join the CNSE faculty, discussed cutting-edge research aimed at developing and advancing innovative nanotechnology applications in occupational, public, and environmental health and safety. November 7 CNSE Community Day Saturday, Nov. 7, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	CNSE invites residents of the Capital Region, Tech Valley and New York State to tour CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex and get an up-close look at the exciting world of nanotechnology. November 9 CNSE Community Lecture Series presents Jazz & Nanotechnology Monday, Nov. 9, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	CNSE Associate Professor of Nanoscience Dr. Robert Brainard and John Chmaj will combine a live musical performance with thought-provoking discussion illustrating how the unique worlds of jazz and nanotechnology intersect. November 10 Executive Institute Tuesday, Nov. 12, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	Members of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce's Executive Institute will receive an inside look at CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex and its significant impact on the Capital Region and New York State.
November 11 Undergraduate Open House Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	The open house will provide an opportunity for prospective undergraduate students to learn more about the innovative CNSE undergraduate program in nanoscale science.
November 12 Tech Valley Global Business Network Awards Thursday, Nov. 12, 5:30 p.m. Glen Sanders Mansion	CNSE Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Alain E. Kaloyeros will receive the Global Vision Award for his efforts, in partnership with government and industry, toward the development of a recognized strategy for global leadership in nanotechnology education, research and economic outreach.
November 14 Nano in the Mall Saturday, Nov. 14 Crossgates Mall	Get an early start on holiday shopping and learn about nanotechnology at Crossgates Mall! Mall visitors will discover the important role that nanotechnology plays in a more energy efficient lifestyle by participating in this event led by CNSE Assistant Professor of Nanoengineering Shadi Shahedipour, which will include energy-saving tips and activities for everyone.
November 14 Graduate Open House Saturday, Nov. 14, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	Prospective graduate students are invited to learn more about what makes CNSE unique: our degree paths, our faculty, our exceptional facilities and the career paths of our alumni.
November 16 CNSE Community Lecture Series presents Dr. Alain E. Kaloyeros Monday, Nov. 16, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	Dr. Alain Kaloyeros, CNSE's Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, discusses the promise and potential of nanotechnology, its growing impact on all facets of society, and the global leadership of CNSE and New York State. November 19 American Chemical Awards Ceremony Thursday, Nov. 19, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	CNSE will host the Eastern New York Chapter of the American Chemical Society as they present the annual Buck-Whitney Award.
November 21 NanoExplorations Saturday, Nov. 21, 11:00 - 3:00 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	Girls go Nano! Girl Scouts from throughout the region will experience the high-tech workplace of the future at CNSE firsthand by touring the $5 billion CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex and participating in hands-on activities that highlight the exciting advances enabled by nanotechnology research and development.
November 23 CNSE Community Lecture Series presents Dr. John Elter Monday, Nov. 23, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex	Dr. John Elter, CNSE's Executive Director of the Center for Sustainable Ecosystem Nanotechnologies discusses how nanotechnology relates to environmental sustainability. NANOvember is presented as part of "NEXSTEP," or "Nanotechnology Explorations for Science, Training and Education Promotion," a partnership between CNSE and KeyBank that includes educational initiatives designed to promote greater understanding of the changing economic and business environment in the Capital Region and New York State being driven by nanotechnology.
