NANOvember
The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) celebrated the world's first "NANOvember," a month-long series of events and activities that showcased the exciting world of nanotechnology and the global leadership of CNSE in the most important science of the 21st century.

- November 1st - CNSE Community Day
Saturday, November 1, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
CNSE invited residents of the Capital Region, Tech Valley and New York State to tour CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex and get an up-close look at the exciting world of nanotechnology.
- November 3rd - CNSE Community Lecture Series presents
Dr. Alain E. Kaloyeros
Monday, November 3, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Kaloyeros, CNSE's Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, gave an overview presentation of nanotechnology and how it relates to our society.
- November 6th - 7th - A Symposium on the Convergence of Bio/Nanotechnology and Medicine
This symposium brought together a group of accomplished experts in various fields of nanotechnology, biotechnology, medicine and commercialization.
- November 10th - CNSE Community Lecture Series presents
Dr. Pradeep Haldar
Monday, November 10, 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Dr. Haldar, Head of CNSE's Nanoengineering Constellation and Director of E2TAC, discussed how nanotechnology relates to environmental sustainability.
- November 12th - Tech Valley Energy Forum
Wednesday, November 12, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The seminar featured an array of local experts on revelant topics to emerging technology companies, including intellectual property, business structure, financing, technology dissemination, and regulatory issues.
- November 14th - NanoCareer Day
Elementary, middle- and high-school students received an inside look at the high-tech workplace of the future at CNSE.
- November 15th - Open House
Saturday, November 15, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Prospective graduate students were invited to learn more about what makes CNSE unique: our degree paths, our faculty, our exceptional facilities and the career paths of our alumni.
- November 17th - CNSE's Colonie Center Nanotechnology exhibit
CNSE and Colonie Center unveiled the world's first nanotechnology exhibit in a shopping mall. View photos from the unveiling event.

Dr. Edward M. Cupoli
Monday, November 17, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Cupoli, Head of CNSE's Nanoeconomics Constellation, discussed the fundamentals of nanoeconomics.
- November 20th - Nano 101 for Educators
Thursday, November 20, 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Teachers from around New York State were invited to visit CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex to receive an in-depth look at nanotechnology.
NANOvember was presented as part of "NEXSTEP," or "Nanotechnology Explorations for Science, Training and Education Promotion," a partnership between CNSE and KeyBank that includes educational initiatives designed to promote greater understanding of the changing economic and business environment in the Capital Region and New York State being driven by nanotechnology.
