A public poster presentation marked the capstone of a successful 2006 Summer Internship Program at CNSE. Twenty-two undergraduate students from 14 institutions and a variety of backgrounds participated in the 2006 summer program. They were selected from a highly competitive pool of over 120 applicants and had an average GPA of 3.60.

The program provided exposure to industrial experts through weekly seminars and the public presentation of research results. Each intern was involved with one or more CNSE/industrial partnered research programs.

The 2006 Summer interns worked closely with CNSE faculty, staff, post-doctoral researchers, and graduate students during the course of their work. Their poster presentations covered research topics ranging from EUV optics, lithography and photoresists to the economic impact of alternative energy solutions. Fourteen faculty members served as research advisors for the 2006 program.
