  • Nanotechnology
  • polymeric biofluidic-transdermal microsystems
  • micro-sensors
  • conducting polymers
  • polymeric LED
  • rechargeable batteries

Research Experience:

Professor Gadre's research centers around micro-electro-mechanical Systems (MEMS), including novel process integration techniques for polymeric BioMEMS technology. Gadre also works on fabrication and characterization of polymeric biofluidic-transdermal microsystems and the development of polymeric micro-sensors for real time glucose and lactate monitoring using enzymatic detection techniques. His research interests also involve in the area of various biomedical applications such as development of non invasive nanoscale drug delivery systems, cell transfection microdevices.

Gadre's group also focuses on conducting polymers, in particular the synthesis of conducting/insulating polymeric composites using chemical, electrochemical and plasma polymerization techniques and the application of these polymeric composites as chemical and biological sensors, polymeric LED, and polymeric rechargeable batteries.

Finally, Gadre also conducts research on the modification of conducting polymeric/textile micro fibers using chemical and electrochemical polymerization techniques for improving properties and studying the structure - property co relationship using FTIR, SEM and WAXD spectroscopy.
