WTEN: GlobalFoundries project set to impact the Capital Region

ALBANY, N.Y. – Thursday, the Lt. Governor was on stage talking about GlobalFoundries' impact on the region and new $2 billion investment they're about to make.

The billion dollar project would expand upon the Fab 8 campus in Saratoga County, adding a new technology development center.

Lt Gov., Robert Duffy says the end result is 1,000 new high-paying jobs in the facility and a revitalized economy in the Capital Region. 

"This is all a part of the governor's plan to remake the economy in upstate New York," said Duffy.
