The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (“CNSE”) of the University at Albany hosted more than 100 business and community leaders from the Mohawk Valley on January 19. The visit was prompted by the growing partnership between CNSE and SUNYIT to enable nanotechnology-related education, innovation, and economic development.

The event began with a tour of CNSE’s $6.5 billion Albany NanoTech Complex, followed by a presentation highlighting New York’s global leadership in nanotechnology education, research and economic outreach, including the $250 million Computer Chip Hybrid Integration Partnership, a collaboration between CNSE and SUNYIT that is already attracting high-tech jobs to the Mohawk Valley.

The visit was held in partnership with The Genesis Group, which is comprised of business and community leaders from the Utica-Rome area whose mission is dedicated to creating positive regional impact in the Mohawk Valley.
