Students from the Newburgh Enlarged City School District got the opportunity to visit the UAlbany NanoCollege on April 5 & 6 as part of the Institute of Nanoscale Technology and Youth (INTY) program.
Over the course of two days, students participated in several interactive and engaging activities, learning about solar power, nanoelectronics manufacturing, and surface patterning and fabrication at the nanoscale level.
The INTY program, aimed at engaging young people in the pioneering field of nanotechnology, represents a partnership between the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) and the Center for Urban Youth and Technology (CUYT) at the University at Albany. INTY is designed to serve all youth, but with a clear focus on underrepresented, underserved and economically disadvantaged youth and adult populations.
