CBS6: CNSE featured in 'Your Life in 2020'

We went way back in the archives! In 1994, we did a series called "Your Life in 2015." We imagined where technology would take us -- and many of the innovations predicted came true! More of us paying our tolls electronically, live TV played back on demand!

That got us wondering, since we're almost at 2015, and technology is changing even faster, what will life in 2020 be like? Now, we've got nano. It's an innovation transforming the economy of the capital region. GlobalFoundries recently added 1,000 jobs.

"You scan your thumbprint and immediately it adjusts all the settings to what you like," said CNSE undergraduate student and Schenectady native Brian Janiszewski.

That's not the only thing different about your car in 2020. "They don't run on gas they're run on solar," Janiszewski said.

Nanotechnology will also be under the pavement. If you're driving along and you have an accident, nano will sense it and immediately call upon first responders to help.
