ALBANY — SEFCU and the University at Albany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering unveiled a summer program designed to interest teenage girls in high-tech educational and career opportunities.
The five-year, $800,000 program will be offered through the local chapter of Girls Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides school-age girls with life-changing opportunities in cities across the country.
The program unveiled Thursday at the NanoCollege will be part of a math and science initiative called Girls Inc. Eureka! and is the first effort devoted to nanotechnology.
