An Albany nanotech facility is a finalist to get a $100 million federal grant -- and it is coming down to the wire.
U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., toured the University at Albany’s College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering today.
He says he has been lobbying hard for Albany and this is the final push, the ninth inning in the decision process.
He believes the grant would make the Capital Region a national center of solar cell research.
