The transformed Infotonics Technology Center in Canandaigua, which merged recently with an Albany high-tech complex, is a partner in a one-of-a-kind, $16 million effort to develop and produce an
energy-saving lighting system.
The technology, called Organic Light Emitting Diodes, provides light using less electricity than
conventional sources. OLEDs are currently used in television screens, computers and cell phones and
are being developed for wider commercial use. Full Article
