Employment is with the Research Foundation of SUNY, a private, nonprofit, educational corporation that administers sponsored program activity for the University at Albany.
Description of Duties:
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, testing and repair of UPW and WWT systems to meet the required standards of purity, quality, and facility performance; participation in the development of equipment start-up, shut-down, and preventative maintenance tasks and procedures; customer satisfaction and support; conducting work in an independent manner; and the ability to earn and maintain membership and certification in the Emergency Response Team.
Minimum Qualifications:
The position requires: an Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field from a College or University accredited by the USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization, and 5+ years experience in UPW and WWT operations, OR 10 years UPW and WWT operational experience with technical training; general understanding of all related disciplines such as device performance, electrical, chemical and waste handling, reporting and control systems. Ability to pass a physical and fit test to earn and maintain membership and certification in the Emergency Response Team required. Good communication skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management Programs.
